"Guest lecture"- Marketing for Internal & External Customers: Commonality & Difference

G. L. Bajaj Institute of Management and Research organized a lecture session on Monday, the 2nd of November, 2015. The Guest Speaker and Resource Person was Mr. Rajeev Tupsakri, General Manager- HR, HCL Services Ltd.

The theme of the session was a dovetail between the concepts of Marketing and that of HR in the form of “Marketing for Internal and External Customers: Commonality and Differences”.

Mr. Tupsakri who has hands on experience with wide range of industries like Manufacturing, Retail, FMCG & IT/ITes for over two decades, has an academic background in the field of Marketing and is currently a practicing HR specialist. He was therefore, aptly suitable to handle the topic involving both the areas.

Mr. Tupsakri developed the interactive session with the theme on Marketing based on brand centricity and that of HR as building of culture and built up a case for employees to foster the brand of the organization. He carried the participants through a multi-dimensional approach in addressing the topic by dwelling on the Aspects of Organizational Structure, Integrated Marketing Communication, Corporate Governance, and 3 Ps of CSR Model. Issues from macro to micro scenario like of carbon footprint, global work culture, brand positioning were touched upon through participation of those presence involving case studies and instant activities. The students now propose to take the theme further through their own concepts and ideas.
