The Institute is continously engaged in organizing Company visits for PGDM students to expose them to the industrial work culture and environment. The renowned industries where the students visited in year 2009 are: JCB Industries Ltd, Control Switchgear Company Ltd., MoserBaer, Orient Fans and Parag Diary.
Management/Executive Development Programme
The Centre for Training and Development (CTD) at GLBIMR offers a full range of customized Management/Executive Development Programmes in general management and other functional areas to inculcate the contingency leadership skills for exploiting the available scarce resources optimally for meeting the expections of the stake-holders as well as to cope with the exigencies and to get the competitive advantages amidst the cut-throat global competition. In the year 2009 CTD has conducted two MDPs at Orient Fans, Faridabad on May 22 & 28 under the topic `Advance Manufacturing Concepts for Operational Excellence and Strategic Management`. In the year CTD conducted 9 MDPs/EDPs at Yamaha Motors Ltd. and Samsung India Ltd.
Management Case Development Workshop 2008
The institute organized an Intl. Management Case Development Workshop on 13th and 14th of October 2008 at its campus. Mr. Suniti Verma,Founder President, K.K Consulting and Mr. Subhashis Bhattacharya, CEO, Vriksh Consultant were the Chief Guests for MCDW 2008. Many Faculty members/Academicians, Research Scholars, Practicing Managers and Students of Management participated in this MCDW 2008 and submitted their cases. The students of PGDM and PGCM (Batch 2007-09) are placed in the salary package ranging from 3 to 7 lacs p.a. at following companies: Fiat Group, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Cadila, VisionNet, Cain India Technology, M4 Media Pvt. Ltd., Lupin, Linxsmart Technology, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, Macmillan India Ltd. etc.
Orientation Programme 2010
Orientation Programme for PGDM (2010) was held from July 27 to July 31, 2009 with the purpose of making the students aware about the corporate environment. Eminent Corporate Executives from various sectors interacted with the students during this period. Following eminent Corporate Executives participated in this programme and share their knowledge with stuents to succeed in the world of cut-throat competition. Mr. M. L. GLBIMR - First Runner Up in AIMA`s National Competition for Management Students
Durgesh Nandini and Sweta Rohini (PGDM 2nd year students) represented GLBIMR in `National Competition for Management Students` organized by AIMA at New Delhi Institute of Management on 2nd and 3rd September, 2009 on the topic `Innovate, Restructure, Reorganize:Challenges for India Inc.` These two students of GLBIMR participated in the regional round and were the FIRST RUNNER UP from the Northern region and qualified for the national level.
