Management/Executive Development Programme |

The Centre for Training and Development (CTD) at GLBIMR offers a full range of customized Management/Executive Development Programmes in general management and other functional areas to inculcate the contingency leadership skills for exploiting the available scarce resources optimally for meeting the expections of the stake-holders as well as to cope with the exigencies and to get the competitive advantages amidst the cut-throat global competition.
In the year 2009 CTD has conducted two MDPs at Orient Fans, Faridabad on May 22 & 28 under the topic `Advance Manufacturing Concepts for Operational Excellence and Strategic Management`.
In the year CTD conducted 9 MDPs/EDPs at Yamaha Motors Ltd. and Samsung India Ltd.

Management Case Development Workshop 2008 |

The institute organized an Intl. Management Case Development Workshop on 13th and 14th of October 2008 at its campus. Mr. Suniti Verma,Founder President, K.K Consulting and Mr. Subhashis Bhattacharya, CEO, Vriksh Consultant were the Chief Guests for MCDW 2008.
Many Faculty members/Academicians, Research Scholars, Practicing Managers and Students of Management participated in this MCDW 2008 and submitted their cases.

`SAMANVAY-09` The Freshers Party |

On the eve of Institute’s Foundation Day on September 1, 2009, the second year students of PGDM (batch 2008-10)organized a Freshers Party in the name of “Samanvay” to welcome their Juniors. The party began with Pooja followed by Hawan at the campus at 9.00 a.m. On this occasion solo & group dance, and songs and other activities were performed by the students.
On this occasion, the Director of the Institute- Prof. J. K. Sharma inspired the students with his speech and awarded the rank holders of PGDM (IInd batch) with Certificates for Academic Excellence.
At the end a working lunch and dinner was served.

`SANKALP-09` The Educational Fest |
|
|
The institute organized its 3-day Educational Fest `SANKALP-09` from 21 to 23 February, 2009 at its campus. About 1200 students from more than 25 institutions from Greater Noida, Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut and Delhi participated in this fest. In the inaugural ceremony Shri Ram Kishore Agrawal, Chairman-RK Group of Institutions (RKGI), Shri Pankaj Agrawal, Vice Chairman, R. K. Group of Institutions. Shri Alok Agrawal, Executive Director, Polar Industries Ltd., Shri Manoj Dembla, GM (Finance) Super Cassettes Industries Ltd., Prof. J. K. Sharma, Director, GLBIMR, Prof. Rajeev Agrawal, Director, GLBITM, other guests, faculty, staff and students were present. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp and Saraswati Vandana.
The Director-GLBIMR Prof. J. K. Sharma highlighted the last 5 months` achievement of the institute since its inception. The Chairman presented the memento to all the distinguished guests. On this occasion the Souvenir `SANKALP-09` was released.
In the 3-days fest students from different colleges participated in number of events which comprised of management, sports and cultural events. Participants exhibited their talents and potential in Debate, Quiz, Extempore, Case Studies (management events), Volleyball, Table Tennis, Chess, Badminton, Kho-kho (sports), Singing, Dancing, Rangoli, Antakshari, Fashion Show (cultural events).
At the closing ceremony the Chairman and Director of G. L. Bajaj Institute distributed the medals and certificates to all the winners and participants and wished them for bright future.

GLBIMR - First Runner Up in AIMA`s National Competition for Management Students |

|
Durgesh Nandini and Sweta Rohini (PGDM 2nd year students) represented GLBIMR in `National Competition for Management Students` organized by AIMA at New Delhi Institute of Management on 2nd and 3rd September, 2009 on the topic `Innovate, Restructure, Reorganize:Challenges for India Inc.` These two students of GLBIMR participated in the regional round and were the FIRST RUNNER UP from the Northern region and qualified for the national level.

Orientation Programme 2009 |

Orientation Programme for PGDM (2009-11) was held from July 27 to July 31, 2009 with the purpose of making the students aware about the corporate environment. Eminent Corporate Executives from various sectors interacted with the students during this period. Following eminent Corporate Executives participated in this programme and share their knowledge with stuents to succeed in the world of cut-throat competition.
