Parents Interaction Session during Induction Program 2017

Education is joint responsibility of Institute & family of students, keeping the same view, GLBIMR organized ‘Parents Interaction Session’, on the first day of the Induction program held on July 10-14, 2017. This unique initiative was started last year by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR; to ensure positive & transparent beginning of new session. During the session, Dr. Makkar shared that the Institute is dedicated to develop corporate ready professionals with global outlook & multi -tasking management leaders.

A highly interactive session was conducted by the Director General with the guardians & parents of PGDM Batch 2017-19 students, to apprise them about the Institute & its academic and social culture. During the session, Dr. Makkar shared that GLBIMR is rated amongst top business institutes, for using multidimensional approach in pedagogy, skill enhancement customized certifications, highly experienced faculty, development process and systems, for transforming an aspiring professional into a committed and employable contributor to society and nation. Parents & Guardians were glad to be a part of GLBIMR and could feel the positive energy and vibrant environment in the campus. Parents inquisitively asked their queries regarding discipline, quality of education, hostel arrangement, security, medical support etc, which was gracefully addressed by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, who in turn shared her expectations from parents’ as-well. She urged them to keep in constant touch with their ward to be aware of the activities going on in campus, she also suggested them to motivate the students & not support them in case of any undue leverage taken by them. Around 100 parents & guardians participated in the session & each one praised this unique practice of having interaction with the Director General in the Induction Program. GLBIMR once again wishes the PGDM Batch 2017-19, good luck for this new journey towards academic excellence & corporate readiness.
