Brief Profile

Dr. Hamlata Bhat is working as an Associated Professor in the area of Information Technology and Business Data Analytics. She is associated with GLBIMR for the last six years. Her educational qualifications are PhD in Computer Application, M.C.A. PGDCA, M.COM, and B.COM from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad Maharashtra.

She has over fifteen years teaching and research experience in the area of Computer Application, Management Science and Social Science. Her areas of research are E-Commerce, E-Banking, Data Mining, Big Data, Marketing Research and Social Science.

Dr. Bhat has presented a number of research papers in National and International Conferences. She has to her credit research papers published in journals of repute. She has conducted 02 Faculty Development Programs on “Application of Multivariate Analysis in Management Research through Data Analysis software”, 02 Seminars on “Information Technology: Leveraging for Social Advantage” and “Consumer Engagement in Digital Era”, and 02 Certificate programs on “Business Analytics & Big Data” and “Marketing Analytics and Big Data Analysis”. She has guided for the project work of IT, Marketing and HR students in their SIP. Her expertise is in area of Data analytical software like SPSS, MINITAB, R and Advance Excel.

In addition to the academic activities, she has actively looking after various administrative activities like arranging corporate interface tours, mobilizing & motivating the students to participate in management and cultural events etc. She is also involving in organizing the management event/fest of the institute. She was an area chairperson of Discipline and Anti-Ragging committee, Co-chairperson of Research and Publication committee, member of syllabus review committee, chief convener of management fest “SANKELP-2011 and 2016 etc. Presently she is working as an area chairperson of Corporate Interface Series (CIS).
