An Interactive Workshop on “Selling Skills” by Ms. Veena Kumar @ GLBIMR on September 25th – 27th, 2018
GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida, organized Three-Day Interactive Workshop on “Selling Skills” by renowned Corporate Trainer Ms. Veena Kumar on September, 25th – 27th, 2018 for PGDM Batch 2017–19. This initiative was taken under the astute leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR. The workshop was designed with the objective to enhance the Corporate Readiness in the upcoming Placement Drives to be conducted by companies of repute for the current batch.
To mark the commencement of the workshop, ceremonial lamp was lighted by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR along with the students, faculty and staff members. Dr. Makkar welcomed the guest trainer and reinforced the students to understand the role and importance of this unique training session to amplify their skills for the ongoing campus recruitment; she resonated with the idea for the students to appreciate their role as a true 'facilitator' and 'business developer' rather than being only a ‘seller’. Ms. Veena Kumar helped the students to assess their competence in terms of their selling skills and enabling them to develop a more positive attitude towards selling irrespective of the barrier of language. She also equipped the students with process, tools and techniques of SPIN Selling.
Ms. Veena Kumar ensured the participants lucidly comprehend the key attributes of effective communication. The budding managers at GLBIMR were spellbound and amazed to learn the innovative techniques to improve their communication skills while incorporating small yet significant measures in their daily routines combined with exciting role play exercises and management games, it was a great learning experience thoroughly relished by the students.
