With an aim to intensify ingeniousness and creativity in students to portray the world as perceived by their young minds, GLBIMR’s Marketing Club organized an event "M.O.M" (Mad Over Marketing), a blend of Marketing Quiz and Ad-Mad Competition on Friday, October 12, 2018 under the guidance of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR. The event witnessed amazing engagement of students from both the batches who participated in Marketing Quiz & Ad–Mad Show with enthusiasm. Faculty Coordinator, Dr. Arpita Srivastava and Ms. Radhika Malhotra, led the activity with the objective to churn out fresh talent with vibrant innovative ideas, skills and concepts.
The activity was divided into two phases. In phase 1, Marketing Quiz was conducted to test the knowledge of the participants beyond academics. In Phase 2, Ad-Mad Show was conducted to showcase the creativity in Marketing products and services with various rounds to judge the level of knowledge which comprises of humorous & conceptual advertisement presentation by the students. The performances were evaluated on the basis of spontaneity, content and adherence to the topic, on-stage presentation, coordination and overall appeal of the advertisement.
Anshika Tripathi, Himanshu Mishra, Jaya Mishra and Lokesh Sharma of PGDM Batch 2018-20 were the winners of the event while the First Runners-Up award was shared by Adarsh kesarwani, Komal kesarwani, Adil Siddiqui and Mahima Yadav in Phase 1 (Marketing Quiz). The winners of phase 2 (Ad-Mad Show) were Ankit Tiwari, Amish Iqbal, Anmol Raj and Abhishek. The First Runners-Up were Sakshi Singh, Palak Mehrotra, Neha Singh, Shobha Pramanik and Priyanka Mohanty. Dr. Urvashi Makkar awarded certificates to all the Winners of Marketing Quiz and Ad-Mad Competition and appreciated students for their enthusiastic participation. She shared that such club activities will help them to develop confident viewpoint and intelligence.
