12th Management Development Program (MDP) on “Financial Planning & Wealth Management” on Saturday, December 15, 2018
In its constant endeavour to disseminate intellectual knowledge and provide platform for industry and academia to work for the holistic development of management professionals, GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida organized 12th Management Development Program (MDP) on “Financial Planning & Wealth Management”on Saturday, December 15, 2018 under the leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR. The event witnessed participation of more than 100 delegates from various universities, institutes and academia.
The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Abhilash Mohapatra, Officer - National Career Service, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India and the Expert Resource persons were Dr. Anand Rai, Associate Professor, GLBIMR and Dr. Harsh Pratap Singh, Assistant Professor, GLBIMR.
The MDP was commenced by welcoming the Chief Guest. The session was designed to facilitate the corporate participants to gain an understanding of the significance and purpose of Financial Planning and Preparation of the comprehensive financial plan using MS Excel. Mr. Abhilash Mohapatra shared that having a financial plan in place should be the first step to create wealth. A holistic plan helps to identify the risks, fix income leakages, set measurable goals, and create wealth in the process. He urged the students to have practical approach in learning Financial Planning & Wealth Management strategies to get specialized career expertise, technical knowledge and other skills required to work in banks and various financial & non-financial institutions. The expert resource persons highlighted that learning the core principles of Financial Planning & Wealth Management will unravel new possibilities for the participants with the continuous growth in a career being rapidly embraced by corporations. They also emphasized that Financial Planning and Wealth Management are the buzzwords in the finance industry & are one of the most prestigious and well-paid professions in the financial services sector. They also provided valuable insight into various components of Financial Planning, viz. Insurance Planning, Investment Planning, Retirement Planning, Tax Planning etc.
The MDP helped participants to gain insights about corporate expectations which will help them in designing strategy for their career growth.
