Best Out of Waste Competition by GLBIMR’s E-cell Flying Minds
'Reduce', 'Reuse' and 'Recycle' on January 04, 2019
GLBIMR’s E-cell Flying Minds organized an another event ‘Best Out of Waste Competition’ for PGDM students as part of 'Reduce', 'Reuse' and 'Recycle' , under the visionary guidance of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR on January 04, 2019 at its Greater Noida Campus.
The objective of the activity was to generate the habit of using old things to create new usable products, to promote creativity and artistic excellence in our leaders of tomorrow.
Each team was provided with some basic household waste material like empty egg tray, empty bottles, wool, thermocol piece, newspaper, etc. A store named- e-cell store was created to sell extra waste material to the participants. Each team was provided with some fake currency (80 glbs) to buy extra waste material from the e-cell store. 60 minutes was given to each team to create one useful product out of the waste. After completion of the creation, they were expected to present their product (with the company name and price) in front of judges and audience. The criteria’s of evaluation were -usage of waste element as raw material, innovation and creativity, usability / practicality of the object made, presentation to the judges, currency retained/ earned. Based on these criterian, following teams grabbed top two positions:

First Position: LekhrajVerma, Chitra Joshi, Deepanshu, DhairyaRoga, Jaya Mishra, Shivani Agarwal, MansiKathayat, DikshaShandanlya.
Second Position: Ashish Kumar, Asmita Raj, AshimPrakashAnand, ArtiGeria, Ashish Chandra, Avinash Kumar.
