GLBIMR students participated in CIS Visit to the Management Conclave "MSME : Prospects and Challenges" at Delhi Technical Campus, Greater Noida on March 15, 2019
In line with the continuous efforts to provide new learning platforms to students, guided by the educational leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, 12 Students from GLBIMR participated in Management Conclave on the theme "MSME : Prospects and Challenges" at Delhi Technical campus, Greater Noida on March 15, 2019.
The students gained immense knowledge of the following areas:
1. Financing of MSMEs
2. Building Marketing Competitiveness of MSMEs
3. Enhancing Global Competitiveness through MSMEs
4. Development of MSMEs through Technology, Skill and Innovation
5. Legal Issues Relating to MSMEs
6. IPR Issues Relating to MSMEs
7. Recent Initiatives by Government of India to strengthen MSMEs
The objective of the conclave was to promote entrepreneurial mindset in the present-day youth so that they become "Job Providers rather than Job Seekers", the mission undertaken by the present government under the leadership of our dynamic Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The session witnessed inspirational speeches by Justice Bhawar Singh, Director General of Delhi Technical Campus where he welcomed the Chief Guest- Mr. Rajnish Goenka-Chairman MSME Development Forum and Guest of Honour- Mr. Sanjay Phugalia- President & Editorial Director, Quintillion Media, Dr. Markandey Rai Senior Advisor, UN Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat), & Keynote speaker Dr. Raj Agrawal Director Centre for Management Education, All India Management Association (AIMA) and Mr. Vijay Kumar Director MSMEDevelopment Institute. In his speech, Chief Guest- Mr. Rajnish Goenka-Chairman, MSME Development Forum motivated the students to take up entrepreneurship at early age with 3C's- Courage, Conviction and Confidence. He shared his own success story of becoming successful entrepreneur which was appreciated hugely by audience.
Participation in the Management Conclave helped students in understanding the MSME sector and government initiatives to support new ventures in India. The speakers also highlighted various success stories in MSME sector and students appreciated the learning they gained from the experiences.
