Global Talk Series by Mr. Naveen Pathak on September 26, 2019.

GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida organized a special session on “Entrepreneurship” under its "Global Talk Series" on September 26, 2019, Thursday at PGDM Auditorium, GLBIMR campus under the guidance of Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR. The expert speaker for the session was Mr. Naveen Pathak, Senior Partner, Entry India LLC, USA.

The event started with lighting of ceremonial lamp and invocation of Goddess Saraswati. In the welcome address, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR welcomed the guests by presenting a sapling and told the audience that the nation needs more and more entrepreneurs to meet the demands of next generations. He said that the management students must acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to start the new businesses. He also said that there are many success stories in India specially in technology and e-commerce domain but still we lag behind the developed nations.

Global Talk Series aimed to provide students an exposure for learning from the experiences of the renowned and established personalities. The event witnessed enriching and enlightening session by Mr. Naveen Pathak, Senior Partner, Entry India LLC, USA. He stressed upon the management students’ role in the development of the society. He said that successful business ideas come from the real world. We should not worry about the huge investments for the start ups instead we should start with a defined small boundary. Once the venture is successful, we can scale it up.

The session had around 200 students from the PGDM Batch 2019-21. The students asked their queries about business ideas, implementation strategies, entrepreneurship in the digital age, internet based businesses, payment and taxation issues, etc. Our expert guided the students and motivated them to become job providers rather than becoming job seekers.

Vote of Thanks was presented by Ms. Arpana Kumari, Assistant Professor, GLBIMR and finally the day concluded with National Anthem.
