We are pleased to share that Jansansadnews.com and Educationalduniya.com featured columns by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
In her interview Dr. Makkar quoted “Teaching is not a profession is a responsibility .Education empowers us with the ability to think, to differentiate right from the wrong and good from the bad. The youth of India needs to be versatile and future ready. Education centered around the holistic approach, with equal focus on Intellectual Development, Social Well-being, Positive Mental Health and Spiritual Awakening is the need of the hour. Our country need the youth who are empowered with their wholesome Education & here comes up the role of teaching fraternity in Nation Building.
Teaching is not just a profession, but a responsibility to shape the nation. A Nation is what its Youth is & Youth is what the teacher makes of it hence teaching is one of the imperative role and I feel being a teacher is actually a privilege which not everyone has and It’s like an honour bestowed by God directly upon the teachers. Teachers have the privilege of directly dealing with the future of the country i.e. The Youth and getting the opportunity to transform them, show them the direction of their career & Life.”
