GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research. PGDM Institute, Greater Noida organized “Tazurba - 2020: Inter Institute Summer Internship Project Competition” on Saturday, October 03, 2020 under the patronage of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions.
During the Initial Screening Round, three parallel sessions were conducted for Marketing, Finance and HR & IT specializations. More than 45 participants from 15 different management institutions of the country gave their presentations out of which 10 participants were shortlisted for the Final Round.
The Final Round started with an invocation to Goddess Saraswati. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR welcomed the judges and congratulated the participants who completed their Summer Internship Project even during Covid-19 pandemic. He also appreciated the efforts made by the students during their SIP to acquire practical knowledge in their respective domains.
During the Final Round, the shortlisted 10 students presented their presentations. Ms. Shreya Singh, KIET Group of Institutions gave her presentation on “To understand the concept of training and development and how companies apply training in various areas”; Ms. Sandra Thomas, Christ University, Bangalore on “A study on the impact of wellness programmes on employee morale in the times of crisis”; Ms. Anu Sara Binu, Christ University, Bangalore on “Fostering talent and finding the silver lining through challenging times of COVID-19”; Mr. Singh Akash Kumar, Christ University, Bangalore on “Demurrage reduction in rake loading at ACC Ltd”; Mr. Siddharth Jadhav, Christ University, Bangalore on “Exploratory study on process optimization in purchase and production department and solutioning using lean approach”; Ms. Shivani Tyagi, Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Rohini, New Delhi on “Fundamental and Technical Analysis of Power Sector”; Mr. Yajas Gupta, Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Rohini, New Delhi on “Analysis of problems faced by educational institutions in converting their offline model into online mode”; Ms. S. Taniya, GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research. PGDM Institute, Greater Noida on “To study the impact of cause related marketing on consumer buying decisions on FMCG Brands in India”; Ms. Shalini Shishodia, GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research. PGDM Institute, Greater Noida on “A study on customer preference towards coupons code based promotional activities for e-commerce websites” and Ms. Asrita Singh, GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research. PGDM Institute, Greater Noida on “A comparative study on customer preference and perception about private life insurance companies and LIC”.
The Judges for the Final Round were Dr. Rinku Sanjeev, Professor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University); Ms. Garima Tomar, Asst. Manager, Total Environment Building System Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Ankit Shukla, Branch Relationship Manager, Kotak Mahindra Bank.
The 1st position along with a cash prize of Rs. 5000 was awarded to Ms. Anu Sara Binu, Christ University, Bangalore; 2nd position along with a cash prize of Rs. 3000 was awarded to Mr. Siddharth Jadhav, Christ University, Bangalore and 3rd position along with a cash prize of Rs. 2000 was awarded to Ms. Shalini Shishodia, GLBIMR, Greater Noida.
This competition provided a unique platform to the PGDM/MBA students who showcased their work on the Summer Internship Project to a larger audience.
