Entrepreneurship Cell of GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research. PGDM Institute, Greater Noida organized “Entrepreneurial Maze: Life and Journey of an Entrepreneur” on Saturday, November 28, 2020 for the students of PGDM Batch 2020-22 under the patronage of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions. The speakers of the session were Mr. Kaushlendra, Founder & Managing Trustee of Kaushalya Foundation (KF), Founder of Bihar Climate Network and Mr. Anish Kumar, Co-Founder & CIO, Techchef Consulting India Pvt. Ltd., Techchef Ewaste Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
The session started with an invocation to Goddess Saraswati. Then, a brief introduction about GLBIMR was given. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR highlighted that entrepreneurship had important economic value . He also discussed that successful business ownership involves taking risks and further elaborated that taking risks in entrepreneurship involves careful planning and hard work.
During the session, Mr. Anish Kumar shared his own journey and explained ‘data sanitization’ as the process of deliberately, permanently and irreversibly removing or destroying the data stored on a memory device to make it unrecoverable. He also discussed that the growing problem of e-waste needed greater attention on recycling it and better e-waste management.
Mr. Kaushlendra shared his inspirational story of being known as “MBA Sabziwala”. He further elaborated that his integrated model for vegetable value chain had been adopted in many states of India with an aim to create opportunities of self-employment for rural population. He also shared his ‘Journey of a Dreamseller’ and what all challenges he faced. He also discussed the problems that the farmers of Bihar were facing and how the power of education would bring a positive change in their lives. He also expressed his concern about the recent farmers’ protest and discussed why they were protesting against the Farm Bills that were passed recently.
This session helped the students to understand the challenges of an entrepreneur’s life and encouraged them to imbibe the entrepreneurial skills.
