With the objective to provide 360 degree development and to enhance Entrepreneurial skills amongst our PGDM students, GLBIMR under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General; GLBIMR provided an excellent opportunity to its PGDM students to participate in 20th Student Management Games competition, organised by All India Management Association (AIMA) from October 19-21, 2016.
A team of 4 students from GLBIMR including Anshuman Mitra, Ayushi Kumawat, Digvijay Singh Gaur and Ashish Kumar Srivastav participated in this event. They were successfully able to make it up to top 3 in first quarter out of the total 30 participating teams.
The aim of introducing the students to this competition was to provide unique opportunity to acquire learning on managerial skills, leadership and the essence of team work. Besides this, students were also assessed for their business acumen. During this competition, different teams were formed, who were asked to run a company in a simulated environment. The students were asked to register the company and were delegated with their designations and responsibilities. Through this competition, students got a chance to learn to take a synoptic view of a company’s operation, to work as a cross functional team and to harness their decision making skills after reaching a consensus.
