Illustrious Day II of Induction Program 2017
After the glittering inaugural session of the Induction Program 2017, on July 10, 2017, the second day was equally illustrious and definitely more interactive. The session began with evoking the Goddess of knowledge and lighting the ceremonial lamp by, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR along with chief guest for the first session, Dr. Yasho V. Verma, Mentor, Winning Solution and eminent guests Ms. Simin Askari, Vice President - HR, DS Group and Mr. Gopikrishan Bali, TEDx Speaker, National Head, Content Development & Training, Times of India.
Dr Makkar welcomed the guests and emphasized, that the students should not miss this excellent opportunity to absorb the knowledge disseminated by the distinguished guests. She said Innovation and creativity are the dominant constituents that differentiate GLBIMR which are incorporated in the curriculum by evolving the courses and keeping the same view, the Induction Program has been customized for the students in sync with the expectations from Corporate world.
Diverse speakers and distinguished Guest of Honour from the varied arena of Corporate and Academics, shared their views and enlightened the students in two different sessions, weaved around the theme of induction, “Corporate Expectations & Insights for Aspiring Managers”. Dr. Yasho.V.Verma inspired the students to explore & become a team player, Ms. Simin Askari shared with them the expectations from HR, She sensitized the students about the importance of sincerity & compassion, while energetic & dynamic trainer, Mr. GopiKrishan Bali charmed the students with his Charismatic powerful session about the 7 C’s of corporate success. The panel in session II was equally decorated & renowned, Prof. (Dr.) Tripathi, Vice Chancellor MGU was the chief guest whereas, Mr. Mathieu Jouve, Villard, Managing Partner, Wedge Consulting and Dr. Maninder Singh Khalsa, Head-Training & Development, VLCC Wellness graced the program as eminent guests. While Dr Tripathi spoke about the importance of learning cross cultural skills, Dr. Khalsa shared his views about the multi tasking & dynamic skill sets required by a successful manager. Mr Mathieu Jouve inspired the students to ‘be themselves’, rather than becoming someone they admire. Both the sessions of day II were very interactive & complementary. Students poured in lots many questions, which were gracefully answered by the panel members & Dr. Urvashi Makkar.
While day I witnessed the unveiling of Optimization, GLBIMR Journal, the Bi-Annual Magazine of GLBIMR, “Nouvelle” Vol2 Issue I, was unveiled on the day II, in the august presence of the dignitaries and Editorial team of Nouvelle. While the day ended with much enthusiasm &content, eagerness for the coming three days could be seen among the students.
