Valedictory Session of Global Talk Series at GLBIMR
GLBIMR organized a 30- Hours module on “Strategic Management'' for PGDM Batch 2016-18 , from September 1- 8, 2017, under the ongoing Global Talk Series initiative. Global Talk Series is a unique learning platform initiated by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR; to provide global exposure to the students. The resource person of the series was globally renowned expert, Mr. Ashish Patel, Managing Director, Morgan Franklin, McLean, USA.
During the series, Mr Patel covered various latest strategies like Ansoff Model, ETOP & PESTLE Analysis, Porter Five Forces, McKinsey's 7-S, Portfolio , Blue Ocean and Components of Strategic Management like Company Mission, External Analysis, Long-Term &Short-Term Objectives, Policies Empowering, Strategic Control & Continuous, Improvement, Internal Analysis, Strategic Analysis , Functional Tactics and Restructuring, Reengineering & Refocusing tool & techniques, currently relevant in global market. Mr. Patel shared several practical examples and case studies during the 30-Hours module, for better understanding. During 8 days of Global Talk Series, students not only learnt about the latest strategies, but also got a clear vision about the implementation of these strategies in business.
The Valedictory session was held on September 8, 2017, where while extending gratitude to Mr. Patel, Dr. Urvashi Makkar shared that Global Talk Series is a plethora of knowledge which the students will open the gates of opportunities for students, not only in India but also across the globe.
Concurrently on this day, Certificates of appreciation were conferred to students of PGDM Batch 2016-18 & 2017-19, for their outstanding contributions during the one week live project at Big Bazaar & Home Town. Our PGDM students have demonstrated exemplary performance during the Live Project, for which they have received Letters of appreciation and one of the student, Satyam Dubey has received Star Performer Award from Big Bazaar. It is a matter of great pride for us that, our students are shining & being appreciated for their work.
