GLBIMR organized 5th Management Development Program of the year 2016-17 on “Talent Management- A Heart of Transcendence in Knowledge Economy” on October 27, 2017 at its Campus, to disseminate the intellectual knowledge and provide platform for industry and academia of management professionals. This is yet another initiative taken by the institute under the visionary guidance of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Group of Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Babu Vittal - Head HR, Shopclues.com, while Mr. Kamalendu Bali- Director-Solutions, Concentrix, Gurgaon was the expert resource person.
Dr. Makkar welcomed the guests and shared that, Talent Management MDP was a huge success last year and therefore, GLBIMR continued the legacy by organizing the succession MDP. The event witnessed huge participation of 100 delegates from various corporate houses and academia. Dr. Makkar, Director General emphasized on the way this program will help the organization gain an understanding of the intricacies of talent management like talent acquisition, employee on- boarding and integration, performance management, retention, individual development, smooth exit of redundant employees etc. Mr. Babu Vittal enlightened the audience with his immense knowledge of HR & Talent Management. He shared that “assumption” is the main problem and HR managers should focus on the reasons & time of exit of employees. He quoted data from the industry to support his views. Talent Management , process of acquiring strong workforce; aligning employees with the organizational objectives, mapping people against the future initiatives of the organization, succession planning and retention with the help of case study & live examples. Delegates were given case studies to discuss & they participated enthusiastically. All the delegates were conferred with Participation Certificate.
