GLBIMR-ians Participated in the Prestigious 58th National Cost Convention 2018 on 16-17 March, 2018

G L Bajaj Institute of Management & Research has its impetus on providing the best learning platform to our management students under the radical guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General. In continuance with our mission of providing excellent Industry Interface, student attended the prestigious 58th National Cost Convention 2018 on 16-17 March, 2018 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The event was organized by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) on the theme “New India 2022: Role of CMAs from Intent to Action”. The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu. The Guest of Honour was Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways and Ministry of Coal. The session was addressed by Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Suresh Prabhu. Eminent Speakers and panelists present during deliberations were Mr. Ajay Das - Chief Commissioner Income Tax; Mr. KVR Murthy - Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs; Mrs. Simrit Kaur - Principal, Shri Ram College of Commerce; Mr. Himanshu Rattan - Director, KPMG; Ms. Monica Singhania - Professor, FMS, Delhi University; CMA Ramesh Subramanyam - CFO, Tata Power; CMA Partha Basu - Global Head Finance, Akzo Nobel, Amsterdam and Mr. Naresh Salecha, Principal Executive Director, Ministry of Railways, Government of India.

It was an excellent platform for the students to surmise the emerging issues of economy from the eminent industry leaders and domain experts, top-notch bureaucrats, policy makers and dignitaries from industry, academia and professional bodies. The two days convention was indeed an enriching experience and an exclusive opportunity for GLBIMR-ians to understand the vision of New India 2022 to be able to contribute towards Nation Building.
