Day 4 Highlights of Induction Program 2018: Motivational Movie Premiere & Experience Sharing Session by Alumni @ GLBIMR
The Induction Program 2018 organized under the aegis of the Director General, Dr. Urvashi Makkar , on the theme of “Corporate Expectations from Aspiring Managers”, which commenced on July 09, 2018, has been overwhelmingly successful amongst the young PGDM pursuants at GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida . The fourth day of the Induction Program was equally exciting and exceptionally energetic. In the morning session, the campus hosted the premiere of the critically acclaimed Academy-Award nominated movie “127 Hours”. Inspired by the fantastic and harrowing tale of the real-life survival situation of American mountaineer Aron Ralston, the movie touched the right chord amongst the students on the spirit of perseverance and survival in the most unexpected circumstances that life beholds. It was perhaps the most pragmatic analogy to the survival of the agilest in the present corporate senario.
Resonating the learnings of the movie premiere, the afternoon session of the day was devoted to interaction with senior alumni of GLBIMR under the guidance of the Director General Dr. Urvashi Makkar and Senior Faculty Members. Ms. Anuja Agarwal - HR Executive, Q & A, Mr. Abhay Kumar- Sports Leader, Decathlon and Mr. Mohit Kumar- Business Development Executive, Namekart from PGDM Batch 2016-18 Batch shared their valuable experiences with the newly enrolled GLBIMR-ians. The alumni shared that the learnings at GLBIMR were instrumental in coping with the challenges they faced in switching from classrooms to corporate. They also shared that Value Added Certifications, Workshops, International Conferences, HR Conclaves, Corporate Interface Series and the varied array of opportunities offered by GLBIMR should be used to develop the necessary skill-set which the budding managers should focus upon before entering the corporate world.
This session included an extensive interaction which helped the students to get motivated and gear-up for the ascent ahead.
