FDP on “Value Education"
MBA Department Organised one Week FDP on “Value Education: A Living Model For a Conceivable Society” in association with Achievers Value Education Cell And Nector Factor from 26th July – 1st Aug, 2019.
Value education is the process by which people give moral values to each other. It can be an activity that can take place in any human organisation during which people are assisted by others, who may be older, in a condition experienced to make explicit our ethics in order to assess the effectiveness of these values and associated behaviour for their own and others' long term well-being, and to reflect on and acquire other values and behaviour which they recognise as being more effective for long term well-being of self and others. The Speakers for the event were Ms. Priya Kapoor, Mr. Manoj Kumar & Mr. Benni Kinha.
FDP on “Data Analytics In Management Research -DAMR 2018”
MBA Department conducted a 5 days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Data Analytics In Management Research -DAMR 2018” in collaboration with the World Association for Small and Medium Enterprise (WASME) on 20/07/2018. The duration of the FDP conducted was from 16th to 20th July, 2018.
The Speakers in FDP were Dr. Sanjiv Mittal, Professor, GGSIPU, Dr. Vigneshwara Liavarasam, Associate Professor, DMS IIT- Delhi, Dr. Bilal Mustafa Khan, Professor, DBA, AMU, Dr. Asif Akhtar, Assistant Professor, DBA , AMU, Dr. Kamal Gulati, Associate Professor, Amity University, Dr. R.R. Singh, DG- Wasme & Ex Director Training, NIESBUD. Director General -WASME presided over the function and the function started with the feedback from the participants. The participants conveyed that the FDP was really useful for them & enhanced their competency level.They well-liked the environment of DMS,GLBajaj Educational Institutions and appreciated the diligent resource persons. More than 30 faculty and research scholars of different institutions participated in the 5 days FDP and made it a grand success. Participants were distributed with certificates by the hands of Chief Guest of Valedictory Ceremony Dr.R.R.Singh DG-WASME during the function.
FDP on “ How to publish your research in ‘A’ Grade Journals”
MBA Department organized a Master class on “ How to publish your research in ‘A’ Grade Journals” by Dr. (Prof) Justin Paul , University of Puerto Rico , USA on 6th August 2018.
Dr. (Prof) Justin Paul is a professor of marketing and international business with Rollins college-Florida, USA and the youngest full professor with the Graduate school of Business University of Puerto Rico, USA. Also, he has been associated with many premier institutions like University of Washington, Nagoya University of commerce and business-Japan and Indian Institute of Management, Indore. Dr. Paul works as the senior/associate editor with the SSCI journals like International Business Review, European J of International management and other prominent publications. He himself has published over 50 research papers and bestselling case studies with Ivey & Harvard.
3 Day Faculty Development Programme
MBA Department conducted 3 day faculty development programme from 23rd December 2016 – 4th January 2017. Dr. Nagendra. P. Singh is one of the eminent speaker in the faculty development programme, he is a noted professional in the field of Public Sector reform, Organizational development and Development Management. He has been the Member of Public Administrative Reform Commission with the State Government of India. He has been Former President, ISABS (Indian Society for Applied Behavior Sciences). He was the Founder Director of Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (IED), India. His association with NIESBUD as Director (Behavioral Science), senior faculty with Management Development Institute, Visiting Professor to Cranfield School of Management, U.K and Indian Institute Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) offer a broad base of multi - disciplinary competence. He has been a visiting professor to premier management schools in India & abroad (UK, Malaysia, Singapore), he is also a prolific author, versatile trainer in the related field. His wide clientele network covers development, public sector/ Government organization & private sector.
The contents of the session covered the very basics of marketing to start a business which include the importance and significance of market surveys, various tools and techniques available for market survey and competencies of successful entrepreneurs. Dr. N.P. Singh not only taught us about the need of market survey and its importance from the standpoint of starting a business firstly, and then to sustain it in this dynamic environment. He also threw light on various tools and techniques and organizations that are into the process of providing research facilities for businesses.
FDP - “Journey through the Blackboard”
MBA Department organized a 3 day Faculty Development Programme on “Journey through the Blackboard”. This entire workshop involved lectures and presentations on various disciplines of management such as Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, financial management, international business management and allied areas and diverse topics were covered under this including team building, training and development, management development programmes, customer loyalty , factor analysis, working capital management, e- commerce etc.
The major focus of an FDP is on upgrading the teaching, training, research and writing skills of management teachers in teaching & research methods. FDPs provide input on process and practice of teaching management, individual development, communication, inter-personal skills, creativity, problem solving, motivation and other skills, inputs on teaching aids, teaching methodologies, importance of problem centered education and how to overcome resistance of faculty and students when participant centered methodologies are adopted. This programme was a peer review exercise emphasizing on the importance of learning new concepts and technologies essential in the field of academia and transforming them to enhance and progress upon the output, efficiency and performance as a whole.
