National Conference- “Emerging Trends in Management Education”

MBA Department organised a National Conference on “Emerging Trends in Management Education” on 28th August 2017.The event witnessed a large crowd of intellectuals including Dean, Department of Management studies, Dr. Mukul Gupta and Head of the Departments. This conference was in collaboration with the Council for Education Growth & Research (CEGR).
Our guests for the conference were eminent personalities from the apex institution which exists in the arena of technical education, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The Chief Guest Dr. A.P Mittal, Member Secretary AICTE and also National council member of CEGR. Dr. A.P. Mittal has been associated as Member of Accreditation teams for accreditation of different technical institutes. He was Chairman of Admission Committee at NSIT during 2005, 2006, 2010 & 2011. Guest of Honor for the day was Dr. Manpreet Singh Manna, Director- AICTE and President- CEGR. Dr. Manna has published about 140 Research Publications for leading National and International Journals and has participated in Conferences of repute. He is the Editor and Reviewer for many International Referred Journals. He has been conferred with the ‘Bharat Excellence Award' and 'Gold Medal' by the Former Election Commissioner of India, ‘Best Citizens of India Award-2014’, and ‘SHRESHTH AACHARYA AWARD-2011’. We also had some well-known personalities from industry and academics.
Dr. Sanjiv Marwah, Strategic Management Expert & Director- JK Business School. Dr. Marwah shared his experience and insights on shifting perspectives of Management Education in present scenario.
Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Resiliency Services Leader SIH East (Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, Japan, Greater China). Mr. Sandeep shared his insights on startups in India, their growth avenues and recent trends that are visible in entrepreneurship today.
Dr. Raj Agarwal, CME- AIMA, who acquainted our students with more opportunities and interventions happening in business & management education. Through this conference we came across numerous challenges facing the growth of management education in India and what all interventions are being planned in order to raise its status.
