Workshop - “Luxury Brand Management”

MBA Department organised a Workshop on Luxury Brand Management on 29th August 2019. Our Eminent Guest for the event was Mr. Abhay Gupta - (CEO Luxury Connect Business School).
Luxury Connect Business School is India’s First Luxury B-School, having International standards of education, global tie-ups and well-experienced professors. It has been carefully designed keeping in mind the standards and gaps prevalent in the industry. The school has collaborated with international universities to provide a global perspective to the students.
Mr. Abhay Gupta Informed the students that Luxury Brand Management is the booming sector in today's senerio. He shared why its essential to do these certification courses if a person wants to endure and grow in the current industry.

Workshop – “Simulation Games”

MBA Department conducted a Workshop on Simulation Games on 7th August 2019. It is a pragmatic methodology of teaching management students various strategies applied in the field of Management. A simulation game endeavors to copy various activities from real life in the form of a game for various purposes such as training, analysis, or prediction. Well-known examples are war games, business games, and role play simulation. From three basic types of strategic, planning and learning exercises we consider simulations games, case studies and hybrids.
Our esteemed Guest for the event Mr. Debashish Das played a simulation Game with the students. It was quite a unique and exquisite experience for our students and they thoroughly enjoyed playing the game.

Workshop – “Contemporary ways of Learning”

MBA Department GL BAJAJ conducted a workshop on “Contemporary ways of Learning” and guest for the session was Prof. Sanjiva Shankar Dubey, Professor and head of IT at Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), Greater Noida. With more than 30 years of corporate experience with brands like TATA group & IBM, Prof. Dubey is an accomplished Practicing Academician contributing largely into the field of academics and research. He has delivered his knowledge and experience at distinguished institutions and Business schools including XLRI, IIMs, BIMTECH, IMI and IMT Ghaziabad. He has authored 9 books in IT and management. Prof. Dubey enlightened us with contemporary methods and modes on learning through online applications, flipped classrooms and self learning technologies. The development of the Internet has enabled sophisticated Web-based systems in education providing a wide variety of educational and learning support systems to students and teachers contributing to higher education. Enquiry, self-direction, and connectivity is at the core of modern learning and cognitive development.

Workshop - “Significance of Cognitive Wellness in Corporate Worklife Balance”

MBA Department organized a workshop on “Significance of Cognitive Wellness in Corporate Worklife Balance” in collaboration with The Richmond Fellowship Society (I) and Mind Piper on 24th January 2018. This workshop aimed at increasing awareness towards the need and importance of developing cognitive fitness in order to be a better performer.
Our guests for the event were eminent personalities in the field of Clinical Psychology with diverse experience in comprehending and teaching people the need and importance of cognitive fitness. Dr. Mridula Seth, Secretary Richmond Fellowship Society (India), an academician with diverse experience of more than 25 years with Lady Irwin College of University of Delhi, has also worked in the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) India as Technical Adviser (Adolescents & Youth) for 9 years. She was associated with Society for Promotion of Youth & Masses (SPYM) drug de-addiction centre as Director for over 6 years. Ms. Sumita Bhadrige: Community Outreach Manager, Mind Piper, with her education in Counselling and Psychology from Tata Institute of Social Sciences has an extensive field-work experience in diverse settings like institutional care, hospitals, government schools, and NGOs. Ms. Rashi Sinha: Innovation Manager - Psychology, Mind Piper, an alumni of Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi with masters in Psychology and from Tata Institute of Social Sciences- Mumbai, with specialization in Clinical psychology, had engaged in a wide range of clinical tasks such as client assessment, counseling and designing interventions based on different theoretical models at both the individual and the group level.
It is needless to say that corporate life is full of multitude of tasks and activities which definitely generates excessive pressure and stress in the minds of managerial professionals. Our budding managers need to learn the significance of cognitive wellness and psychological fitness to maintain a balanced work life, coping up with the corporate dynamism and stay calm and motivated to perform better.

Workshop - “Managing change through self- learning Leadership" -

MBA Department G L Bajaj conducted a workshop on “Managing change through self- learning Leadership” and our guest for the day was Mr. Vikas Jain, founder & CEO- Adhyan World. The mission of this organization is to build an Eco-system where Self-Learning Engine of individuals and organizations is ignited, developed, supported and connected with world class opportunities to achieve desired growth in life. This would result in ability to create a life of choice. Mr. Vikas jain is an Author, Global Professional Speaker and a visionary entrepreneur. He has delivered programs for various corporations including Fortune 500 companies for Senior Leadership and various other levels.

Workshop - “Police ki Pathshala" -

MBA Department in association with Greater Noida Police and Amar Ujala organized an interesting and informative event named "Police ki Pathshala" on October 31, 2017 . This event was an educational session where concerns regarding women safety were addressed and public, especially girls were educated about the importance of raising their voices against crime irrespective of its magnitude.
Mr.Amit Kishor Srivastava, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Gautam Buddha Nagar was the chief guest for the event. He explained to the students about the positive role and bond between police and public. The purpose was to create better understanding and communication between the police department and the community through education. He insisted that the present generation in police and public has to change their perception regarding police from an autocrat and oppressor personality to a more inclusive, protective & friendly disposition.
In the end, all students took a pledge that they will abide by all the rules and regulation to ensure their own safety and for the betterment of the society.

Workshop – “Internet Safety and Don't bully others”

MBA Department has conducted a workshop on “Internet Safety and Don't bully others” on 23rd August 2018. The Speaker for the event was Ms. Leena Gurg, President of JaagoTeens. Jaago Teens are an NGO that conducts internet safety workshops and helps to spread awareness regarding safe internet usage. So far they have successfully counselled over more than 70,000 students through more than 200 workshops. Cyber bullying is on of the most rated crime teenagers and even young adults are committing. In a world of today where social media is more of a status than a platform it becomes difficult to cope up with peer pressure.
Ms. Leena Ma'am educated our students about the various crimes on the internet and also majorly discussed about the laws made for our safety. The students learnt about the many ways they can handle the challenges and also the acts that are made for their safety by our nation.

Workshop - “Right values = Success”

MBA Department conducted a workshop on “Right values = success” 0n 25th August 2017. Mr.Owen Mendosa, Head HR, Parekh Integrated Services Pvt Ltd was the chief guest for the event. He is a competent professional with extensive experience of over 17 + years in HR, Administration and Sales Operations. He is a strategic planner with extensive experience in managing the entire gamut of operations and proven track record of leading people and developing and implementing situation specific strategies. He has expertise in managing a wide spectrum of human resource management functions entailing recruitment, training and development, performance management, appraisals and employee relations.

Workshop - “Learn- Unlearn”

MBA Department conducted a workshop on “Learn- Unlearn” on 23rd August, 2017. Monica Marwah, Lead - Talent Acquisition & HR Interlock, NCR Corporation. Ms. Marwah possesses 10+ years of multi HR faceted experience in diverse organizations ranging from IT, telecom, consulting, pharmaceutical, logistics and manufacturing industry. She has expertise in Executive/Leadership hiring and own strong experience in managing University Relations responsibilities.

Workshop - “Life is not a mystery”

MBA Department conducted a workshop on “Life is not a mystery” on 23rd August, 2017. Mr. Shesh Narain Singh, is Sr. Journalist and Consultant with News18India. He completed his education from the JawaharLal Nehru University (JNU). He has a rich experience in the field of mass communication and journalism with brands like NDTV, Sahafat and Deshbandhu in his kitty. He has also contributed in the field of education by coaching students in association with various mass communication colleges. He is a man known for his straight forward, independent and unbiased and honest opinions in the political arena.

Workshop - “Get Placed By Storytelling Way”

MBA Department organized a workshop on “GET PLACED BY STORYTELLING WAY” on 21st August 2017. The Guest Speaker for the event was Mr. Sankalp Kohli. He is one of the most inspiring storyteller, motivational speaker, corporate trainer & Author in India. He has a strong belief that, writing and storytelling, if understood properly, can act as a very powerful tool for budding engineers, managers and entrepreneurs of India. His sessions are much Fun minus the boring Gyan. He mainly talks about Power of Stories, Art of Storytelling, Employee Motivation, Confidence Building and Getting Placed through Stories.

Workshop - “Self Defence and Women Empowerment”

In a country like India where the cases of gender violence are on the rise, Women , usually referred as the weaker sex and considered as easier targets. It is now high time that women get the right knowledge and familiarize right techniques of self-defence which will empower them and allow them to be more confident and safe.
Keeping this in mind MBA Department organized a training workshop on Self Defence and Women Empowerment in association with JWALA NGO, a non- political self-funding social organization of women.
Our Chief Guest for the day, Ms Suniti, SP RuralArea, Gautam Budh Nagar is truly a noble personality. Ms.Suniti is a B.tech graduate with Computer science and Engineering. She qualified IPS - RR exam in 2013 and since then servicing our city and the nation. Ms.Suniti shared valuable ideas and created awareness upon the importance of being safe. She also shared many efforts that the government and state police is taking in the same direction.
JWALA has a very clearly defined aim and that is "empowerment of women". Their vision is to create and nurture "A world where every woman, man and child leads a healthy, fulfilling life of self-reliance and dignity." Human dignity, gender equality, empowerment, sustainability, social transformation, decentralization and transformative leadership are some strong principles they believe in to achieve this relevant cause.

Workshop - “Motivation”

MBA Department organized a Workshop on “ Motivation ” on 31st August 2016. The Guest Speaker for the event was Mr. Vivek Bindra, Founder- Global Act, CEO Coach and International Motivational Speaker. Mr. Bindra is known for creating most sought after content on leadership development, which is helping people across the globe in achieving their business goals. He is author of 10 high power motivational books.

MBA Department organized a Workshop on “Learn from my life experiences” on 30th Aug.2016. The Guest Speaker for the event was Mr. Shesh Narain Singh. He is Political editor at Desh Bandhu Hindi Daily.

Workshop - “Empowering yourself - Empowering India”

MBA Department organised a Workshop on “Empowering yourself - Empowering India” on 4th September 2015, The Guest Speaker for the event was Dr. Kiran Bedi. She is a retired Indian Police Service officer, social activist, former tennis player and politician.. She is the first woman to join the Indian Police Service (IPS). She remained in service for 35 years before taking voluntary retirement in 2007 as Director General of Police, Bureau of Police Research and Development

Workshop - “Youth in India-Their roles & responsibility in developing India ”

MBA Department organised a Workshop on “Youth in India-Their roles & responsibility in developing India ”on 10th September 2014, The Guest Speaker for the event was Mr Prabhu Chawla Padma Bhushan. He was born in Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab, British India in 1946. He is alumni of Deshbandhu college University of Delhi . He started his career as an economics lecturer in Delhi University. He is the Editorial Director of The New Indian Express, a Chennai-based newspaper in India. Earlier he was the Editor-in-Chief[2] of the same newspaper.
