Social Media: Stress buster or booster?
Social media has many benefits, but unfortunately, everything in this world has its negative sides. Among the common negative effects of social media use are stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, cyber-bullying, hacking, scams, cheating and relationship problems, drug abuse and even death. On the other hand it has its own benefits to de-stress our brains. Be it by watching the drooling cheese out of a sandwich, finding people with similar conditions or networking.
Achievers Club, MBA Department organised a debate competition on 6th September 2019 on “Social Media: Stress buster or booster?” 32 participants expressed their views in favour and against and also faced interjections.
Face Painting Competition
Achievers Club of MBA Department G L Bajaj institute organised Face Painting competition on 30th August 2019. All the eight groups of Achievers Club participated with great enthusiasm & valour.
The theme was to create logos of renowned business organisations. The students had to paint one previous and one new logo of the assigned organisation. The response was thrilling & students enjoyed a lot.
MBA Department G L BAJAJ has begin another Initiative as GLB TALKS. Every Friday MBA Department GLBAJAJ conducts this event in which students have to speak on the stage and share any experience or story that has created an impact on their life in a positive manner. The main focus of GLB TALKS is to enhance the confidence of the students, take our stage fear and hitch of public speaking for the students and over all personality grooming & development of the students. It is a very beneficial and innovative way to bring a positive change in the personality of the students.
Achievers Club of MBA Department G L Bajaj organized a really enjoyable and engaging management activity under its personality grooming cell titled “RANG DE” - which was a face painting competition where students were given topic “Sustainable Ecosystem” to be painted on their faces. The MBA students participated with great zeal and contributed with their creative talents. This activity was targeted to bring out newness, ingenuity, creative skill, and team building and time management skills. All students enjoyed thoroughly and appreciated each other’s efforts in making this activity a success.
Swachh Bharat Mission
Our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narender Modi launched “Swachh Bharat Mission” on 2nd October 2014. “A clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary in 2019,” he quoted, as he introduced this cleanliness mission at Rajpath in New Delhi. This campaign aims to achieve the vision of a ‘Clean India’ by 2nd October 2019 and we are glad to share that DMS #ACHIEVERS club contributed its part in the mission by organizing yet another enjoyable and learning full activity on October, 27, under its personality grooming and management development efforts. It was a #Poster making competition - themed “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”, where each individual business group had to make and present creative and innovatively designed posters in sync with the theme.
All the competitive activities of Achievers club leads to the accomplishment of “The Business Group of the Year” award at the end of every session which is the ultimate motivation of all students.

Making the tallest paper tower
MBA Department conducted a group development activity titled “Making the tallest paper tower”. In this student were divided into groups and were given the task to construct tallest, upright model tower out of newspaper. They were given limited supplies including newspaper, tape, glue and scissors. Students aim to build their towers for height and stability, as well as the strength to withstand a simulated lateral "wind" load. The idea behind the whole activity was to inculcate key skills such as creativity, strong thought process, patience during construction, foresight, planning, time management, decision making etc. required in the corporate world by our future leaders and managers. All the students participated with great enthusiasm and the turnout of the activity was appreciable. They not only constructed tallest, stand-up towers but also focused on the design, creativity and innovation. This activity was a lot of entertainment with equivalent dosage of management learning.
